IT Procurement Administrator

The IT Procurement Administrator at Ocean State Job Lot is responsible for facilitating the Procure to Pay process stream as it relates to IT products. This position requires someone who is detail oriented, enjoys working with various users, and who provides “TREAT” customer service to all departments.


  • Reviews all operational and project billing for the IT department for accuracy and completion
  • Helps resolve billing issues with vendor reps and our internal finance department
  • Processes procurement requests from quote to payment to receipt, works with IT managers and the procurement systems
  • Develops and runs routine internal performance reports to make sure that our vendors are paid on time
  • Helps IT managers review Service Agreements and contracts with vendors, look for savings opportunities
  • Works with the IT support teams to review inventory stockroom positions for standard hardware re-supply and software license capacity
  • Runs reports and analyses on different spend metrics to identify wasteful practices and opportunities to negotiate better pricing
  • Develops cost KPIs for other department’s consumption of IT services
  • Develops and runs routine vendor performance reports that combine KPIs such as invoice accuracy, process compliance, quality of service and deliverables and volume of related support incidents after fulfillment


  • College degree preferred
  • Great attention to detail when reviewing complex documents
  • Ability to answer analytical questions with the appropriate data and visualizations
  • Ability to resolve disputes and negotiate pricing with vendors
  • Strong skills with standard office document formats especially spreadsheets and formula writing
  • Previous experience in a position requiring problem solving
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google platform (i.e. sites, slides, drive, docs, sheets)
